She presented both her positive and constructive experiences for non-IT background educator and students to battle with plagiarism, assessment and feedback issues by using innovative technologies.

 

Her presentation gained interest among the local delegates with interactive Q&A session for good practice exchange. This lead to the interest of establishment of a special interest group / research group among the workshop participants.

 

Chairing by Dr Chew Esyin, a new research group EUSEA-iCONNECT is established, with the vision of: Fusing technology and pedagogy to enhance and transform learning.

The second day of the workshop is chaired by the SEA Connect2Sea project leader, Dr Chew Esyin from School of IT, Monash University Malaysia. 

In the afternoon, Daniel Choo from local industry conducted a workshop for an inovative product, GradeMark which can enhance academic integrity and provide efficient  assessment and feedback.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Catherine Namaani from Unviversity of South Wales presented “Technology Enhanced Learning at South Wales – a UK Case Study” via video conference. The presentation provided an overview of a UK institutional ICT experience for e-plagiarism battle.

 

The workshop is ended with the invitation of further collaboration, such as MOU, research proposals for further funding and video competition call after the workshop with very positive responses.

 

Day 2 - 24th June 2015

The day begins with the presentation titled “Turnitin experience in University of Malaya” by Dr Ding Seong Lin from the oldest and best university in Malaysia.
